Parking is $10, but you can walk or ride your bike to the event using the Trinity Trails. Bike parking will be available. Remember to bring your bike lock, we are not responsible for lost or stolen bikes.

The Big Trout Contest will take place from 11am-4:30pm with four heats. Online advanced registration is required. There will be no on-site signups. Spectators welcome.
Yes, a fishing license is required for those over 17 years old.
Expert Presentations will take place inside Acme Brick Building. Fly Tying demonstrations will be held in tented areas outdoors.
Yes, the festival area between Bryant Irvin and Chisolm Parkway will remain catch-and-release, fly-fishing only on Saturday, March 9. On Sunday, March 10 you can only fish with bait in the designated bait fishing area. All other areas are fly-fishing only. You can keep your catch from this area on Sunday, March 10. You can keep your catch in the bait fishing section on Saturday and Sunday.

Yes, we will have multiple kid's activities that include face painting, a rock-climbing wall, and a kid’s fish tank. Yes, the event is also dog-friendly.
If there is rain on the day of the event, activities will be relocated on paved lots as necessary. Presentations are scheduled inside Acme Brick Headquarters building. In the event of lightning, TRWD event staff will clear the water as required per our National Weather Service weather plan.
