Presenter: Cari Ray, CCI
Cari is an FFI Certified Casting Instructor, professional guide, and host of the Fisher of Zen Podcast. She is also the founder of Rio Llano Outfitters, a woman owned and operated fly fishing school and guide service based in Texas Hill Country. She spends summers blue-lining and guiding in the High Country of Southwestern Colorado and New Mexico’s famed on San Juan River Tailwater. She has a particular passion for inspiring new fly anglers and helping clients and students achieve independence and find success on the water. Cari believes that one’s mastery of casting and fishing skills is equally proportional to one’s access to the enjoyment, relaxation, and “zen” that is available through the sport.
This class will focus on Critical Essentials, including loop control. This class is appropriate for someone that has casting experience and wants to become a better fly caster. It is not intended as an introductory class.
Bill Campbell, CI
Bill grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore, MD where he learned to fly fish when he was eleven years old. The area’s local farm ponds and its tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay proved to be excellent fishing classrooms for him. During his teenage years, his passion for fly fishing grew by regularly reading Lefty Kreh’s “Maryland Outdoors” article, which was published weekly in The Baltimore Sun. Throughout his fly-fishing journey, Bill has had the good fortune to fly fish from New Zealand to Maryland and many places in between. Today, he fishes mostly on Lake Texoma and in the lakes and rivers of East Tennessee. His favorite place to fish is on the banks of Lake Texoma chasing smallmouth bass on topwater with his British Lab, Charleigh by his side. He divides his time between his residences in Lewisville, TX and Monteagle, TN. Bill is a Certified Casting Instructor (CI) with Fly Fishers International (FFI).

Dani is committed to diversity and inclusion, on and off the water.
